State Attorney Monique H. Worrell will host the first of a series of townhall meetings in Osceola County this week.
Worrell and the Ninth Judicial Circuit’s Community Engagement team will host the meeting on Monday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m. at the Kissimmee Civic Center, which is located at 201 E Dakin Avenue in Kissimmee.
The team hopes to educate communities on the criminal legal system, actively engage youth and young adults, and empower victims and witnesses of crime to work with law enforcement, according to a press release from Worrell’s office.
“One of my administration’s top priorities is to bridge the gap between Central Florida residents and the criminal legal system,” said Worrell. “Reimagining public safety in the Ninth Judicial Circuit requires innovation and collaborative effort. This goal can best be achieved with input from community members and our community partners.”
