Nereida Vargas-Delgado

Nereida Vargas, age 81, passed away peacefully, May 24, 2022, in Ocoee, Florida.
She was born December 7, 1940, in Humacao, P.R., to Jose and Cecilia Delgado. She married Manuel (William) Vargas in 1965, who preceded her in death in 2008.

Nereida loved to sew and crochet. As a retired seamstress, she enjoyed sewing dresses for her little Rat Terrier, Abbey. She loved decorating, especially during the holidays, gardening, and cooking. Graduated from Tribuna del Arte, where Puerto Rico Sings.

She was also preceded in death by her sons William and Manuel Jr.

Nereida is survived by her daughters, their husbands and children Wendy & James Goodyear (James Goodyear Jr. and Chloƫ Stoppler), Jeannette Flores (Frances Rodriguez, Angie Wallace, and Shirley Rodriguez) and, Sonia & Agustin Prosper (Monique Villalta); son, wife and children Joe & Irene Vargas (Jessica Vargas and Alexis Vargas), and Madeline Vargas (Tiffany Vargas, Brian Vargas, Brandon Vargas, Robert Mercado and Andrew Mercado).

Arrangements for a private viewing with immediate family members only, has been entrusted to Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Winter Garden, Florida. The family invites you to please join them celebrating her life on Thursday, May 26, 2022 commencing at 4:00pm at the Goodyear Family Residence located at 4963 River Gem Ave, Windermere, Florida.
