A motorcyclist was killed after being thrown from the vehicle during an afternoon crash on Goldenrod Road.
The accident took place around 12:37 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, near the intersection on Timer River Circle and Goldenrod Road.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was traveling northbound on Goldenrod Road on a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle. \
A 51-year-old Orlando woman driving a 2010 Kia Optima traveling westbound on Timber River Circle made an improper left turn from a right turn only stop sign and entered the direct path of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was thrown from the vehicle and transported to AdventHealth East, where they were later pronounced deceased.
The female driver of the Kia was not injured in the crash.
The medical examiner’s office will update FHP once the motorcyclist has been identified, according to authorities.
