Martin Michael Tickner

Martin Michael Tickner, 68, of Orlando, Florida passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022. He was born on April 13, 1954, in Syracuse, New York.

Predeceased by his father – Arthur, Sr.; step-father, Jack Brolan, brothers, Arthur, Jr., and John. Surviving are son Dan Tickner of Syracuse, NY, daughter Maria Tickner Doyle, and grandsons, Timothy Coyne and Timothy J Doyle of Syracuse, NY; Mother Elizabeth Tickner Brolan of Manlius, NY; sisters Judith (Floyd) Bombardo of Baldwinsville, NY and Cynthia (William) Hooven of E. Syracuse, NY; brother, William (Jean) of Brewerton; sister-in-law Joan Tickner of Syracuse, NY, former son in-law Timothy Jay Doyle and many nieces and nephews.

Martin graduated from St. Patrick’s high school and received an associate degree from Auburn community college. He retired from the united State postal service for 37 years. Martin passed away in medical care after battling long term illness.

Martin “Marty” was a brave and humble man, who put the needs of others before his own. He always made room at his table and enjoyed cooking for others. He was an incredible artist, especially watercolor and acrylic painter. He was a very loving son, brother, father and grandfather, and touched the lives of many.
