A group of restaurants in Orlando will face off in an inaugural chili cook-off this weekend.
The Thornton Park Chili Cook Off will take place on Saturday, July 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Veranda, which is located at 707 E Washington Street.
At least seven restaurants are scheduled to participate, including Graffiti Junktion, The 808, F & D Cantina, Cavo’s, Anthony’s Pizza, Island Time, and Mason Jar Provisions, which closed its doors last week and will reopen under a new concept.
The competition will be judged by three celebrity judges, according to event organizers.
The event cost $20 for tickets in advance and $30 for tickets purchased on the day of the event.
