The city of Apopka will host a series of summer camps for children this month.
The Apopka Parks and Recreation Department will host a sports camp at Alonzo Williams Park from July 18 to 22 for middle school students and from July 25 to July 29 for elementary school students. The cost to participate is $90 for residents and $100 for non-residents. Alonzo Park is located at 225 M A Board Street in Apopka.
The city will also host Camp Wewa, an overnight, co-ed camp from July 3 to July 29. Activities include a challenge course, arts and crafts, athletics, dance, and water sports, among many others. The cost to participate is $50 for each week of camp at the time of signup.
