Britt Beemer, loving husband and father of two daughters, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2022 at the age of 70.
Britt was born on September 12, 1951 to the late Elvin and Margaret Beemer. He grew up in Bedford, IA with brothers Chris (Judy) Beemer and Chad (Lori) Beemer. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jan, daughters Chloe (Jonathan) Fitzgerald and Claire Beemer, brothers, nephews, and nieces.
In 1973, Britt received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Northwest Missouri State Univ. In 1975, he earned his master’s degree in American government from Indiana State Univ.
In 1979, after a career in managing and consulting on 14 successful congressional and senatorial campaigns, Britt founded America’s Research Group based in Charleston, SC. Recognized nationally as a premier marketing strategist, he gained wide acclaim for his expertise in consumer behavior research and strategic marketing planning. Britt authored six books including Predatory Marketing, It Takes A Prophet To Make A Profit, and The Customer Rules. His work has been cited in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, among others. Britt was routinely invited to give interviews for Fox News and CNN.
Britt had a big heart and lived his life with gusto. He had a passion for God and church, his family, politics, travel, cooking, and charity work. Britt was a true patriot and loved his country. He delighted in preparing meals for those in his community. Around Christmas, he celebrated with extravagant festive displays featuring Snow Villages, Christmas trees, nativity scenes, trains, and lighted Santas lining the walkways. Britt also enjoyed fixing up and spending time at his family’s vacation spot in Sky Valley, GA.
Britt’s thoughtful advice, remarkable stories, and unconditional love for his family made him the best of the best.
A memorial service will be held on July 23, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando.
