Orlando Police officers recently helped five ducklings find a new home after their mother was struck and killed by a vehicle.

Two Orlando Police Department East Patrol officers of the Alpha Evening squad were flagged down this week by a citizen who rescued five ducklings after their mom was killed by a passing car.

The officers brought the ducklings to their station and, together with their sergeant, worked to find a home for the ducks. After some searching, police found Second Chance Animal Rescue in College Park, which is owned and operated by Jim Bronzo.

The ducklings were transferred to the rescue and are now safe in a new home.
