The Back To School Tax Holiday across the state of Florida begins today and runs through August 7.
During the event, which is hosted by the Florida Department of Revenue, Florida consumers may purchase qualifying back-to-school supplies that will be exempt from taxes, including clothing, footwear, learning aids, and a variety of other items.
Personal computers and certain computer-related accessories with a sales price of $1,500 or less are also included, so long as they are purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.
The holiday does not apply to items of clothing with a sales price of more than $100, as well as any school supply items with a sales price of more than $50.
For more information on the items included and excluded during the holiday, visit the 2022 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday webpage.
