Autrey Hoffman, 83, passed away July 6, 2022 at home in St. Cloud, Florida.
Autrey was born in Orlando, Florida on March 30, 1939 and was the son of Dr. Carl D. Hoffman and Annie Autrey Hoffman. He graduated from Boone High in 1957 in Orlando. He moved to Georgia where he attended Valdosta State College in Valdosta and later attended Emory University in Atlanta.
Autrey joined the US Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in November of 1963. He went on to join the board of directors at Lake Highland Preparatory School of Orlando, Florida where he was in charge of some of the athletic programs for 22 years.
He is survived by his wife Jean Kasper Hoffman, sons; Jeff (Kristin), Brian (Tirzah), Brad (Jo), and step-sons; Bryan (Greta) Racks and Jeff (Amy) Rucks. His Grandchildren: Katy, Chris, Angie, Maddison, Ryan, Camden, Carlie, Savannah, Anabelle, and Wyatt. His nieces and nephews: Candace (Mike), Mike, Carla Ann (Larry), Melody, and Katrina. Autrey was preceded in death by his nephew Urle, brother Carl (Marie), sister Ann Dobbs, and his pet lab Sable.
He will always be remembered as a proud Marine, great father, step-father, friend, and high school sweetheart.
