A popular Indian restaurant in Winter Park was forced to temporarily close its doors for a second time this year after failed health inspections on consecutive days last week.
Mynt Indian Cuisine, which is located at 535 W New England Avenue, Suite 100, was temporarily closed by a health inspector on Tuesday, July 26, and Wednesday, July 27, according to a report filed with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
During the first inspection, 20 violations were cited, including six considered high priority. Among those high priority violations was the presence of rodent activity, as evidenced by over 75 rodent droppings found around the kitchen. Additionally, a stop sale was issued after rodent bite marks were found on flour bags.
During the second inspection on Wednesday, dozens of rodent droppings were still present and the restaurant was not permitted to reopen until Thursday, July 28, after a third inspection was conducted and only three violations remained.
In April, the restaurant was forced to temporarily close after another failed health inspection.
