A home in Windermere caught fire this week after it was struck by lightning.
On Saturday, August 20, a dozen Orange County Fire Rescue units responded to reports of a house fire due to a possible lightning strike at 6020 Golden Dewdrop Trail in Windermere.
Crews arrived on the scene around 7 p.m. and within minutes, contained the fire to the attic of the home. By 8 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The fire comes just days after a mother was killed at Trotwood Park in Winter Springs by a lightning strike.
