The city of Orlando has established six collection sites for election sign waste this political season.
According to city officials, the collection sites will be open through Tuesday, September 6, for yard signs. All metal frames will be recycled locally, while plastic signs will be transported to NuCycle Energy in Plant City to be transformed into Enviro Fuelcubes and used to generate electricity.
Each location will have a marked blue bin or crate for both signs and stands for drop-off.
