Gerald Robert Blake II, age 53 of Winter Park, Florida rests in heaven on September 13th, 2022. Gerald was surrounded by his loving family who will deeply miss him. Gerald was born on January 1st, 1969 in Tampa Florida. He was married to Christine Blake from West Palm Beach, Florida and had two children Kenneth and Roxanne Blake. He is also survived by his mother Lucie Blake from Ocoee, FL and sister Jennifer Blake who has a son Julian Sebastian Blake. His best furry companion Deliah, who was always by his side.
He is preceded by his father Gerald Robert Blake of Clermont, Florida with whom he shared the same birthdate, January, 1st.
Gerald was a Gulf War era veteran receiving training as a field paramedic and worked as an EMT. He was also a Irrigation specialist in the Horticulture Industry.
He enjoyed spending his time away from his career with family, fishing in the lakes around South Lake County and Ocoee. He also enjoyed camping with the children in tents, he was a true naturalist. Above all, Gerry had an amazing GREEN THUMB. As evidenced by all the greenery he would bring around him wherever he lived. Replanting and transplanting. And they thrived. As an avid music lover, Gerry was a staple in the thriving Downtown Orlando music scene of the 90’s. Centering around the locally famous Wills on Mills and even fronted several local bands himself.
