A Chinese restaurant in south Orlando was forced to shut its doors temporarily after a health inspector found 44 food health code violations last week.
According to a report from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Chili Spot, which is located at 4646 S Kirkman Road, was forced to temporarily close its doors on Wednesday, September 21, after a health inspector cited nearly four dozen violations.
Among the many violations were six considered high priority, including the presence of roach activity. The report indicates that at least 10 live roaches were found in the kitchen’s dishwashing machine area.
The restaurant was permitted to reopen the following day on Thursday, September 22, after only 18 violations remained.
