A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the murder of 30-year-old father who was killed during a shooting in east Orlando last month.
Francisco Arismendi Giraldi Baez was arrested by Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Thursday, October 6, in connection with the murder of Trey Scott Kennedy, who was found shot to death in a shopping plaza on September 8.
Shortly after the fatal incident, calls were received regarding the shooting and Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 11000 block of East Colonial Drive.
Upon arrival, officers located Kennedy and another man who had been shot. Kennedy was pronounced deceased on the scene. The second man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
Baez is facing multiple felony charges, including first degree murder and attempted first degree murder, as well as grand theft in the third degree, among other charges. He is currently being held at the Orange County Jail without bond.
