A popular sushi shop in south Orlando has gone through a complete transformation.
Toūken, a modern sushi bar, has replaced two former Handroll Sushi locations in Hunter’s Creek and Ocoee.
Located at 12200 Menta Street, the newly renovated Hunter’s Creek location takes a minimalist approach in its design, with Japanese decorations peppered throughout.
A muted, modern decor has replaced the deep, vibrant colors that once filled the restaurant.
Although the name is new, the restaurant still serves up traditional Japanese dishes and sushi, including 16 different temaki options, sashimi, nigris, and a variety of hand rolls.
The name of the restaurant is derived from a Japanese word that translates to “swords/bladed weapons.”
Toūken joins multiple other restaurants in Orlando that are currently working on new or updated locations, including its neighbor Heart of Jerusalem Cafe. That restaurant, which is currently under build out, is the second location for the brand, which currently operates its first location at 5683 Red Bug Lake Road in Winter Springs.
