A 31-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he was involved in an accident with a pickup truck in Orange County.
The fatal accident took place on Monday, October 17, at around 8:55 a.m. near the intersection of Taft Vineland Road and General Drive in Orlando.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 59-year-old Orlando man was driving a 2006 Ford E-350 box truck westbound on Taft Vineland Road, approaching General Drive.
The vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto General Drive when it entered into the path of a 2017 Harley Davidson being driven by a 31-year-old Orlando man. The front of the motorcycle struck the right side of the box truck and the motorcyclist sustained critical injuries.
The motorcyclist was trauma alerted to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
