Opera Orlando will perform a classic Mozart piece at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts this week.

The group will host two separate shows on Friday, October 28 and Sunday, October 30 in the center’s Steinmetz Hall, which is located at 445 S Magnolia Avenue in downtown Orlando.

Considered one of the greatest operas ever written, The Magic Flute centers around gods and heroes in the mythical realm of Ozymandia. The story follows Tamino, a hero tasked with rescuing the daughter of a sorceress.

The production will be sung in German with new English dialogue by Grant Preisser and English supertitles. The cast will also feature members of the Opera Orlando Chorus and Youth Company.

The show will run approximately two hours and thirty minutes with one intermission.
