Kirk Goranson

Kirk Vaughn Goranson, of Orlando, Florida entered his heavenly home on Thursday November 10th, 2022, at the Orlando Health/Dr Philips Hospital with loving family by his side.

Kirk was born on July 30th, 1945 in Chicago Illinois. He was the son of the late Robert Adair Goranson, and Leslie D (Vaughn) Goranson, and loving husband of Vicki (James) Goranson of 37 years.

Kirk had a passion for airplanes, and made a career of 50 years working in the aviation industry as a mechanic and manager for TWA/American airlines. He also earned the prestigious award from the Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration for the Charles Taylor “Master Mechanic Award”, in appreciation for his dedicated service, technical expertise, professionalism, and many outstanding maintenance contributions to further the course of aviation safety. Kirk also had a passion for golf, sharing time with his family and friends, and staying in contact with all of his airline buddies.

Besides his loving wife, Vicki, he is survived by his daughter Kristina (Koeppl), and preceded in death by his son Scott Goranson. He is further survived by his sons Brett (Carrie)Price and Jason(Sarah) Price and grandchildren Tylor, and Samuel Koeppl, and Skyla and Ellie, Price. He is also survived by brothers Richard (Tammi) Goranson of Milton, Florida, Bruce (Ingrid) Goranson of Hubertus, Wisconsin and sister Suzanne (Frank) Remfrey, Waukesha, Wisconsin, and several nieces and nephews.
