Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded in full force this morning after receiving a call regarding gunshots heard at Deltona High School.
On Tuesday, December 6, over 50 VCSO deputies responded to a call that reported gunshots heard on the campus of Deltona High School, which is located at 100 Wolf Pack Run in Deltona.
According to VCSO, the school resource deputy and school guardian were on scene immediately and did not report hearing any gunshots in the area.
No evidence of gunshots was located by police, and no one was reported shot or injured.
Over four dozen officers arrived within minutes and checked the entire school. Police say that an enhanced presence will remain on campus today and the rest of this week.
