George Kenneth Clapper, 85, beloved husband, father, Grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on January 4, 2023, in Orlando, FL. He was born on November 6, 1937, in Orlando, FL, to George Clapper and Lillian Clapper. He met his love of his life, Barbara Jean Barnes when she moved to Florida. They married at the young age of 18 and 16.

Ken married Barbara J. Barnes on February 10, 1956, in Orlando, Florida. They had 3 children, Laird Clapper, of Milton, Cynthia Saffaei, of Dekalb, Kenly Boyett, of Clermont.
Ken started his career at CSX Railroad in December 1956 at a Clerk. He retired from the Railroad in November 1999. He dedicated 43 years of service to the Railroad. Ken had his own business, Ken’s Lawn Service, from March 1981 to March 1999.

Ken was best known for his dedication to his family and friends. He worked hard but always found time to play hard. He enjoyed life and loved Nascar, boating, waterskiing, snow skiing and Harley riding. In his later years, he bought his Harley and enjoyed many miles on the open roads, taking his grandkids on rides, joining fundraising rides and taking several cross-country trips with the Harley club. Ken will be remembered for his big heart and generosity. He would do anything for his family and always ready to help others.

Ken is survived by children: Laird Clapper (Regina Clapper), Cynthia Saffaei (Saeed Saffaei), Kenly Boyett (Brad Boyett)

Grandchildren: Jessica Gerber (Kenny Gerber), Dana Zoelle, Lauren Boyett, Lindsey Boyett, Kylie Clapper

Great Grandchildren: Madison Gerber, Jordan Gerber

Siblings: Evelyn Corrine Sheppard (sister), Loretta Ann Smith (sister), Grace Alberta Clapper (sister-in-law)

Ken is preceded in death by Barbara J. Clapper – wife, Lillian Clapper – mother, George Clapper – father, Clifford Earl Clapper – brother.
