A man that arrived a DeLand area hospital with gunshot wounds has spurred an investigation by local law enforcement authorities.
According to the DeLand Police Department, a man suffering from gunshot wounds visited AdventHealth DeLand, located at 701 W Plymouth Avenue, on Tuesday, February 7.
Officers responded to the hospital just after 9 p.m. in reference to a person being shot. During their conversation with the 21-year-old victim, authorities ascertained that the victim had been shot in the 200 block of Clara Avenue.
DeLand Police Department Criminal Investigations detectives responded to the area to gather evidence for the ongoing investigation.
As of the time of this report, the victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening. No suspect information is available.
