24-year-old dies at hospital after shooting in south Orlando

Police are investigating the shooting death of a 24-year-old man who was found in south Orlando early Monday.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 600 block of South Kirkman Road in reference to a shooting on Monday, February 13, at around 1:43 a.m.

Deputies were told that a man in his 20s had been shot, but upon their arrival, he had left the scene.

The man, who was later identified as Tyrese Robert Cooper, was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The investigation is in its early stages and police have not provided any suspect information at this time.
