Mario, Luigi, and multiple other characters made famous over the past several decades will soon have their own section of in one of Orlando’s theme parks.
Last week, Universal Parks and Resorts Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mark Woodbury announced that the company is currently working on its own version of Super Nintendo World, which currently operates two locations in Hollywood and Tokyo.
“Soon, we’re going to add another Super Nintendo World to Universal Orlando Resort,” said Woodbury during the grand opening of the new Super Nintendo World location at Universal Studios Hollywood in California.
The company celebrated the openings of the Nintendo-themed park section in Hollywood on February 17 and Tokyo nearly two years ago in March 2021.
During remarks, Woodbury jested that the new park is the “worst kept secret in history,” alluding to years of anticipation for the project, which is currently under construction.
