A fire tore through half of a home in DeBary on Thursday night.
Multiple units from the Deltona Fire Rescue, DeLand Fire Department, and Seminole County Fire Department responded to reports of a home on fire along Alicante Road on Thursday, March 9, at around 5:20 p.m.

Upon arrival, authorities encountered heavy smoke and half the home engulfed in flames. Officials say the fire vented through the roof and that crews were able to save half of the home.
The sole occupant of the building suffered minor burns, according to emergency personnel.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
