Marshall Pollard 1678806631

Marshall Pollard was born on September 6, 1942, to Lee and Rebecca Jenkins-Pollard in Rembert, South Carolina.

Marshall grew up in Winter Garden, Florida with his four siblings, where they all attended Orange County Public School and graduated from Charles R. Drew High School. He was very active in sports and after graduation, he enrolled at Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. With a desire to be closer to home, he transferred to Daytona Beach Junior College where he developed a passion for building. He received an Associates Degree in construction. After receiving his Contractor’s License, he had a very successful career in construction for many years until his health began to fail.

While attending Daytona Beach Junior College, he met the love of his life, Alice Mae Hudson. On June 12, 1965, they were joined together in Holy Matrimony and to this union four children, Derek, Eric, Laquinda, and Alex were born. He was a very loving, caring husband and father. He dearly loved his family and always provided for them.

He relocated to the Apopka area and the family united with Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church. Some years later, under the leadership of the late Reverend K. E. Rogers, he was ordained “Deacon” and served faithfully until 2021 when the Covid-19 pandemic made a tremendous change globally and the norm was no longer normal. Even in those unprecedented times, he would occasionally stop by the church to chat.

Marshall was preceded in death by his Father, Lee Pollard and Mother, Rebecca Jenkins-Pollard.
