Firefighters were able to help a local feathery friend who got caught in a fishing line earlier this week.
On Wednesday, April 26, crews from the Kissimmee Fire Department were called in reference to an animal rescue. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found an owl entangled in a fishing line.
The line was caught on a tall pine tree, according to KFD.
Crews cut the fishing line and removed the owl, freeing one of his wings which had become entangled.
The owl was transported to the Osceola County Animal Control center for evaluation.
