Seminole man wins $2 million from $1 jackpot ticket

A 62-year-old man from Altamonte Springs claimed a $2 million jackpot after purchasing a Quick Pick ticket for $1 from a local 7-Eleven.

On Wednesday, Florida Lottery officials announced that Stanley Johnson claimed a $2 million jackpot from the JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY drawing held on November 22, 2022.

Johnson chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,264,584. Johnson purchased his jackpot-winning Quick Pick ticket from the 7-Eleven located at 901 West Highway 436 in Altamonte Springs. The retailer will receive a bonus commission of $1,000 for selling the winning ticket.

The Quick Play JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY ticket allows players to get a triple chance to win the jackpot, as each ticket comes with three sets of numbers to match with the winning numbers drawn. Players may choose up to six numbers from 1 to 46 for the first set and the second set is randomly “quick picked.” Jackpots start at $250,000 and can roll over to reach $2 million before rolling down to increase the lower-prize levels in each drawing until the jackpot is won.

Players win by matching three or more numbers from the same set to the winning numbers drawn. Players can get an extra chance to win by combining all matches on the ticket by adding Combo for $1 more.

The next JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY drawing will be held on Friday, May 12, at 11:15 p.m., with a $2 million jackpot. To check the winning numbers, visit the Florida Lottery website.
