Car rolls over and crashes into power pole, downing lines on Lee Road

A driver was taken to the hospital after their vehicle rolled over, crashed into a power pole, and downed a set of power lines along Lee Road earlier this week.

Winter Park Fire Rescue units responded to Lee Road this past weekend after receiving a call regarding a rollover crash.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a driver that was trapped in their vehicle. The driver’s vehicle had crashed into a power pole and downed several power lines, becoming entangled in some of them.

Crews were able to free the driver without incident and transport the patient to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews are warning motorists that power lines and power poles may be extremely dangerous if involved in an accident.

“If you ever come across an incident involving power lines, be sure to communicate the information to 911 dispatchers. Scenes such as this can go from bad to worse quickly,” reads a statement from WPFR.
