A Jamaican restaurant was forced to close its doors for a day last week after rodent activity led to a failed health inspection.
B&T Jamaican Jerk Restaurant LLC, which is located at 8825 W Colonial Drirve in Ocoee, was forced to close its doors on Friday, June 23, after failing a health inspection by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
According to the inspector’s report, the inspection uncovered 10 violations, including one considered high priority. The report indicates that rodent activity was cited, as evidenced by at least eight rodent droppings found around the restaurant. Three rodent droppings were found near a water heater, while five rodent droppings were located in a reach-in cooler.
The restaurant was reinspected on Saturday, June 24, and was permitted to reopen after only two basic violations were found.
