A Massachusetts-based bagel business that expanded into Central Florida for the first time last September has opened its second location in downtown Orlando.
The Bagel Dudes, formerly known as The Bagel Shop, officially opened for business earlier this month at 55 W Church Street, Suite 131, in the base of the 55 West building. The location joins one other in Florida at 211 W Fairbanks Avenue in Winter Park.
Founded in 2015, The Bagel Dudes is a family-owned and operated business that serves New York style bagels that are baked fresh in house each day. In December, the company formally changed its name from The Bagel Shop to The Bagel Dudes.
The shop feature a large variety of specialty bagels, spreads, and breakfast sandwiches, as well as a collection of different coffee flavors.
Although the Winter Park location is currently open every day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., the new location in downtown is open from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The business joins several others that have opened new locations in downtown Orlando.
That includes Ding Tea, Tacos My Guey, Taco Kat, Solita, Stemma Craft Coffee, Double O’s Coffee, Huey Magoo’s, Pup’s Pub, Parlay, Bellhop, High-T, High Tide, Proper, and Game Room and Social Club, all of which have opened in the past year.
Multiple other locations are currently under development in downtown, including Birria1983, which will take over the former home of Graffiti Junktion, and Schmankerl Stub’n, a German scratch kitchen that is replacing the recently shuttered Neon Beach.
