Sunglass Hut thieves make off with $13,000 in designer shades

Sanford police are asking the public for help to identify two individuals who allegedly stole over $13,000 worth of designer sunglasses from a local retail shop.

According to the Sanford Police Department, the men featured in this story entered the Sunglass Hut located at 232 Town Center Circle in Sanford on July 7.

During their visit, the men walked to a display table and selected multiple pairs of designer sunglasses. The stolen brands included Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Prada, and Tiffany & Co.

In total, the value of the sunglasses was estimated at approximately $13,827.

The individuals concealed the sunglasses in their pockets. When they were confronted by an employee, they fled the store.
