Bed catches fire in mobile home in Seminole County

Multiple fire department crews responded to a mobile home in Seminole County after reports of a bed catching fire.

Units from the Seminole county Fire Department and Longwood Fire Department were called on Monday, July 31, at 10:56 a.m. to the scene of a mobile home fire on Helen Street in Winter Springs.

The first units responded within four minutes of the call and led an attack on the fire, getting water on it within a few minutes. Engine 24 led a fast attack and the fire was out by 11:03 a.m.

No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze, and the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced family.
