According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the first shooting took place on Friday, August 4 on South Brooks Avenue. A 17-year-old male victim showed up to the hospital at around 11:50 p.m. with a non-life-threatening injury that he sustained from a gunshot.

No additional details were provided by police, who say they were only able to gather a “few other details” through interviews.

The second shooting was reported just after 1 a.m. on Sunday, August 6, in the same area. According to police, a house was riddled by bullets, but no one was struck or injured.

Volusia County Sheriff’s Office detectives are currently investigating both shootings and have not confirmed whether they are connected.
