A man who is accused of burglarizing multiple businesses in an Orlando community is behind bars thanks to a business that used a GoPro to record him in the act.

Bernard Daniel Hills was arrested earlier this month by Orlando Police Department officers on more than a dozen felony charges, including grand theft of more than $20,000 and burglary of a structure.

According to police, a business in the Parramore community was the victim of multiple thefts over several months. Those thefts led the business to install a GoPro camera in a tree near where the incidents were taking place on their property.

In surveillance photos provided to officers, the same man, who was later identified as Hills, is seen performing multiple thefts.

The evidence was turned over to OPD’s Criminal Investigations Division, who positively identified Hills, who they have come to know as a “prolific offender” in the community.

Hills, who is 69 years old, was arrested on August 2, 2023 and is currently incarcerated at the Orange County Jail. He is currently being prosecuted in at least four separate cases.
