Apopka, It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Walter Biro, 64, of Apopka, Florida. Rick was given his wings from God on August 9th, 2023, after a valiant fight with cancer.

Rick was born to Michael V and Nancy Biro on November 6th, 1958, in Port Orange, Florida. Rick attended Spruce Creek High School and went on to attend Orlando College, pursuing a degree in Film Production. Rick was preceded in death by his father Michael Biro. He is survived by the love of his life Marianne Sweeney, his mother Nancy Biro, brother John and wife Edie Biro, brother Tom and wife Gail Biro, sister Tina Biro Russell and Ryan McHugh. Many nieces and nephews including Chad Russell, Jocelyn, Michael, Jessica, and Zachry Biro and their children.

Rick’s biggest passion in life was music. An avid guitar player, Rickdawg spent countless hours jamming on the guitar with his friends and family, especially during holidays. Rick had the ability to pick up any instrument and play it like he had been doing it for years.

When Rick wasn’t playing the guitar, he could be found enjoying every outdoor activity including his favorite walking on the beach. He loved being on his one wheel, paddle board, surfboard, kayak, his boat fishing, and playing disc golf. Rick was a skilled carpenter and could build anything from furniture to houses.

We request all of Rick’s loved ones and friends to join us in celebrating his life at Dudley Funeral Home 1108 N. Dixie Fwy in New Smyrna Beach on August 23, at 4:00 p.m. with a gathering at Lost Lagoon directly afterwards.
