21-year-old killed in east Orlando after driver loses control of vehicle

A 21-year-old man was killed after he lost control of his vehicle and drove off a roadway in east Orlando.

The fatal accident happened on Tuesday, August 22, at around 8:50 p.m., according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The man, who was from Orlando, was driving a 2018 Honda Accord westbound on Lake Underhill Road, approaching Kehoe Boulevard in the outside lane.

For unknown reasons, the man lost control of the vehicle, collided with a curb, and then struck a traffic sign.

The vehicle continued traveling west off the roadway before it collided with a traffic light pole.

The driver was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
