Jennie Maria Banks, of Zellwood Fl., age 85, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2023 in her home at Zellwood Station following a brief illness.
Jennie was born in New Jersey on September 10, 1937. She was the daughter of Paul and Vivian Covert. She grew up in Sea Bright, NJ and spent the majority of her life in Florida.
In her youth, she worked as an Office Manager for a Dental Lab and later had a successful career as a Real Estate Agent in Zellwood Station. Friends would often find Jennie on the Golf Course or at the Bowling Alley, always with a huge smile on her face. Jennie loved painting and sewing and was fondly known as “the Apron Lady” selling her handmade aprons to restaurants in Apopka and Mt. Dora.
Jennie traveled often with the love of her life, her late husband, Warren Banks spending their summers at Yellowstone National Park working together in the gift shop.
Jennie is survived by her son, Robert Michael Stevenson and stepson, Jeff Banks, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was a loving wife and mother to her late daughter, Sandra Lee Abramowitz.
Jennie lived her life to the fullest and was a big hugger. She had a wonderful personality and was such fun to be around. She will be missed and thought of often by many. Cheeeeeers to Jennie… We all love you!!!
