In Memory of Norma Lee Stout
A life of love for her Lord, Jesus Christ, her husband of nearly 60 years, her family, and friends. Norma was a friend to everyone she encountered and cultivated deep and enduring friendships with those who walked closest with her over many decades. She was a loving mother to her three sons, an incredible grandmother to her ten grandchildren. She was “Mama Stout” to close family members and friends, a sister to a brother, and lover of people.
Norma was married to Bill for nearly 60 years. They met in high school and were together 63 ½ years as inseparable sweethearts. She and Bill cultivated a life and love together that modeled for the world around what marriage can look like through thick and thin.
But Norma’s first love was her Savior. She met Jesus in the early 1970’s as a young wife and mother. She learned to build her life on God and His Word. Her home is filled with her notes in journals and Bibles that are a testament to the character she had and the life she lived.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Norma passed away on Friday, August 18th during a surgical procedure. We all deeply grieve at the sudden loss in our own way, as Norma was an irreplaceable piece of each of our lives. We also celebrate the certainty that Norma Lee Stout is with the One she loved the most. She loved her friends, family, and husband with a love that we all cherish. But that love paled in comparison to her love for Jesus.
The family invites you to both grieve the loss of Norma and celebrate her eternal homecoming in heaven as a group of family and friends. “Together” is what Norma created for so many and we invite you to this very special event of being together.
We will gather for a time of memorial followed by dinner as family and friends on Saturday, September 9, at 4:00 p.m. at Avalon Church, 13460 Tanja King Blvd. in Orlando.
