Jean Alice Goodhind

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean A. Goodhind on September 4, 2023. Jean departed from this world as she lived in it – surrounded by love.

Over 30 years ago, Jean embarked on a new chapter of her life when she moved to Hawaii. It was there that she wove a tapestry of experiences, memories, relationships and fully embraced the island’s Aloha spirit. Hawaii wasn’t just a home for Jean; it was an embodiment of her spirit – vibrant, warm, and welcoming.

As time passed and the tides of life shifted, Jean found herself spending her last months in Florida. There, she was enveloped by the steadfast love of her family. Their stories, shared meals, and comforting silences were a source of immense strength and joy for Jean in her final days. Jean’s legacy is one of love, connection, living life to the fullest, and the magic of finding home wherever we are.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all those who had the privilege to know and love her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society, an organization close to Jean’s heart.

A celebration of Jean’s life and park bench dedication will be held at Waialae Iki Neighborhood Park, Honolulu in early January, 2024. Date/time to be announced.
