Food delivery company fires Sanford employees after ending all Florida operations

A food delivery company that shut down all of its locations across the state of Florida announced that it will terminate at least 60 employees, including a dozen from Sanford.

Yelloh!, which previously operated as Schwan’s Home Delivery, made announcement on Wednesday, October 25 in a worker adjustment and retraining notification (WARN) filed with the Florida Department of Commerce.

The filing indicates that the company is closing eight different facilities around the state, including its location at 120 Tech Drive in Sanford.

A total of 12 employees were terminated at the Sanford location, with jobs ranging from material handler to route sale representative.

In addition to Sanford, the company closed additional locations in Clearwater, Jacksonville, Lakeland, Pensacola, Punta Gorda, San Antonio (Florida), and Summerfield.

Approximately 61 positions were terminated by the company, including 7 employees working out of the Summerfield location.

According to its website, Yelloh! delivers frozen food and “quick-to-the-table” options ranging from complete meals to meats, seafood, breakfast, pizza, and several other types of ingredients and foods.
