The Valkyries are part of the Pro Volleyball Federation, which is comprised of seven total franchises, with additional teams in San Diego, Las Vegas, Columbus, Omaha, and Grand Rapids. A team in Kansas City was also recently announced.

Tickets range in price from $20 to $100. To purchase tickets for the first game, visit the Orlando Valkyries website.

The new professional team is one of three that have joined the local scene in this year.

That includes the Osceola Magic, which played their first game on November 10.

The Orlando Guardians played their inaugural season in the XFL earlier this year.
