A motorcyclist was killed on Wednesday evening after a vehicle turned in front of him on State Road 434.

The fatal accident took place at around 10:53 p.m. near the intersection of SR 434/Alafaya Trail and Park Road, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 19-year-old man from Oviedo was driving a 2024 Kia Forte southbound on SR 434, approaching Park Road in the left turn lane.

The man attempted to make a left turn to travel east on Park Road when he entered the direct path of a 2014 Kawasaki Motorcycle being driven by a 22-year-old man from Oviedo.

As a result, the motorcycle collided into the right side of the Kia.

The motorcyclist was transported to Oviedo Medical Center, where he was pronounce deceased. The driver of the Kia was not injured in the crash.
