A 37-year-old man who has been convicted of 20 felonies in Florida has been sentenced to spend the next 15 years behind bars after he was caught dealing drugs at a gas station and attempted to flee police on SR 408.
Terrell Anthony Robinson was sentenced to spend the next 15 years in federal prison for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances.
According to court records, on March 12, 2023, Orlando Police Department officers were patrolling the 7-Eleven gas station located at 3000 W Colonial Drive when they observed Robinson engage in a hand-to-hand drug transaction.
Robinson left the gas station in an 2011 black Inifiti Q50 and police attempted to pull him over while traveling on John Young Parkway, near Old Winter Garden Road. Th’e vehicle accelerated away from officers until it entered SR 408 West.
As Robinson traveled on the highway, he was spotted by another undercover vehicle that followed him to a separate 7-Eleven gas station located at 6994 W Colonial Drive.
Robinson exited the vehicle to enter the store. Upon returning to the vehicle, he was arrested by police.
At the time of his arrest, Robinson was in possession of a stolen firearm, ammunition, 31 grams of cocaine, 24 grams of MDMA, 21 grams of methamphetamine, 6 grams of fentanyl, and 2 grams of cannabis.
Robinson pled guilty on August 14, 2023. As part of his sentence, Robinson is also ordered to forfeit a firearm, ammunition, and cash that were all used in the offense or were proceeds of the offense.
