Law enforcement authorities have arrested a teacher who they say was maintaining an inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old student.
Terrell Myron Foy was arrested on Friday, January 19, and charged with lewd or lascivious conduct and offenses against students by authority figures.
According to the Orlando Police Department, members of the Special Victims Unit received an anonymous tip about an authority figure at Blankner School who was involved in an inappropriate relationship with a student.
During their investigation, police identified the suspect as Foy, who worked as a teacher at the school, according to its website.
Detectives confirmed that Foy was having an inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old student who attends the school, which is located at 2500 S Mills Avenue in Orlando.
In a statement, Principal Junella Kreil indicated that Foy had been terminated from his position.
Foy is currently incarcerated at the Orange County Jail. No additional filings have been made in the case, according to court records.
