Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old in Winter Park who had been letting one of the suspects stay at his home.
Alan Javon Morris, 19, and Isaiah Allen Crisp, 20, were arrested earlier this month on charges of first degree murder, according to a statement issued by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
Morris and Crisp are charged with the shooting death of Conrad Holaway, who was found killed from gunshots in the 2500 block of Zelina Point in unincorporated Winter Park.
According to SCSO, deputies were called on December 19, 2023 after family members of Holaway found him dead inside his home.
During interviews, family members told deputies that they had heard numerous gunshots at around 3 a.m. At the time, the family exited the home to investigate, but did not hear or see anything else.
Later that morning, the family went to check on Holaway and discovered that he was deceased in his bedroom.
During their investigation, detectives determined that Holaway had been allowing Morris to stay with him for several weeks on a temporary basis. A few days before his death, Holaway allegedly told Morris he could no longer stay at the some.
Several disagreements occurred between Holaway and Morris in the days that followed.
According to authorities, on December 19, 2023, Morris allegedly visited the home, saw Holaway in a window, and intentionally shot him multiple times.
Morris was arrested on January 12 on an active warrant for one count of first degree murder. Morris was also charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a minor in an unrelated case. Both he and Crisp were booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility, where they are being held without bond.
