Alejandro Rodriguez

Alejandro Rodriguez, age 85 of Orlando, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Advent Health East Orlando.

He was born on April 13, 1938 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, son to his late parents Alejandro Rodriguez Alvarado and Rosalina Gratacos Rodriguez.

Alejandro Rodriguez served active duty for the U.S. Air Force in Steed Airforce Base, Reno, Nevada from 1955 to 1963.

Alejandro Rodriguez obtained his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Mayaguez University in Puerto Rico; and obtained his PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in Golden Colorado.

Alejandro Rodriguez was employed by UOP and worked overseas for a majority of his life in oil refineries, mostly in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Alejandro Rodriguez also worked for Boeing for NASA in Cape Canaveral, Florida and coordinated with the safety heat panels that were put on the shuttle prior to retiring from employment.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Gladys Rodriguez, and his sister, Eva M. Rodriguez.
