A suspect who has burglarized multiple homes and vehicles, including one that was occupied by a sleeping victim, is being sought by Volusia County law enforcement authorities.
The individual featured in this story is wanted in connection with multiple burglaries in the city of Deltona, according to a statement issued by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect allegedly entered a home on Sylvia Drive through an unlocked door in the early-morning hours of Thursday, January 25.
While he was inside, he looked around for items to steal and found cash. According to authorities, the victim was sleeping and wasn’t aware that her home was being burglarized.
The victim says she first discovered her home had been burglarized the next morning, when she noticed several doors in her home were ajar.
Detectives say the same suspect may be connected to vehicle burglaries and attempted burglaries on Applegate Terrace and Armadillo Drive.
According to VCSO, the individual has previously stolen Apple AirPods and a handgun.
The sheriff’s office is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this individual.
