Mrs. Maureen Elizabeth Larson, age 66, of Casselberry, Florida entered her eternal home with the Lord on Saturday, January 27, 2024. She was born in Queens, New York on October 4, 1957 to Vincent William and Bertha Casey.
Maureen graduated from Hauppague High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from CW Post. On September 21, 1985 she married Paige Kimble Larson. Together they raised three brilliant and beautiful boys: Sean, Eric and Brian. She embodied and epitomized the role of matriarch – to the extent that her boys would make the case for her picture to accompany the dictionary entry for “Mother”. Maureen worked as a substitute teacher for Casselberry Elementary where she gave her whole heart for the teachers and children that she loved.
She was so beloved that the teachers entrusted their own children to Maureen’s care, and her new title became “MoMo” – a title she cherished and wore with great pride. Her heart was so full of love for these children that they became like her own precious grandchildren. Maureen loved her family and friends and nothing gave her more pleasure than giving, to them and everyone she came across. She left everyone she met better than she found them, and will be forever loved and missed until we meet again. She was a beloved sister, MoMo, wife, and especially mother.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Thomas Casey and Michael Casey.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paige Kimble Larson; three sons, Sean Larson (Kaylee), Eric Larson (Stephanie), and Brian Larson (Felix); two sisters, Kathleen Hall and Patricia (Jeff) Gilland; granddaughter, Avery; nephews, Jacob Gilland, Christopher Kearney, Timothy Hall, Colin Hall, Benjamin Cole IV, and nieces, Sarah Cole, Ruth Campbell, Rebekah Cuevas, Mackenzie Gilland, Jessa Gilland and Abby Gilland.
A memorial service to celebrate Maureen’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Baldwin – Fairchild Funeral Home, 90 Weathersfield Ave, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
